About This Author

Hi there!

I'm a grandmother, a nursing educator, an avid knitter and an aspiring writer. I created this page for family and friends who expressed interest in reading my writing. It is mostly poetry with a few short stories sprinkled here and there .

The poem on this page is one my Mom favored. The collectible trinket is from a needlework picture of Longfellow's home she completed. Mom loved poetry and was an avid reader. She and my brother,Rasputin , inspire me still.

I have a published form modification called the Rondel Grand Modified; it is located here:

Drop me a note by clicking on the "Contact Me" link above and let me know you stopped to visit.

Happy reading and write on!

Song of the Soul 6/21/96
Locked tenderly in your embrace,
Cheek against cheek we lay.
Playing my body like the master plays his violin
Slowly, the dance begins to build.

Rivulets of sweat trickle between us, mixing together as
The tango pulsates with the rhythm of our hearts.
I am ablaze with the wholeness of you;
And the oneness of us becomes a rolling wave pulling me under.
Time is infinite.

Sensuous music trembles on its high note,
Stretching, reaching together, we orchestrate the dance
As you cradle my essence, my being,
And my body shivers with your pleasure.

Awash in the waves, I drown as
The violin soars and sings
Its song of fulfillment.
You who took my heart
Returned...
To steal my soul.
