Road Trips
Prompt: What do you think of road trips? Do you have any memories you would like to share?
Road trips. I don't want to go on road trips anymore. We used to go on 5 hour trips to Frankenmuth, Michigan to the Christmas Store. We stopped at rest stops and gas stations. I loved going to Frankenmuth. After my knee surgery, I don't think I can take a 5 hour road trip. My cousin wants me to Holland, Michigan this summer. That's a hour and a half. I can do that I think.
My husband and I drove to Terre Hautte, Indiana. It looks like the Smokey Montains. That is a hour and a half trip. We went to the Smoky Mountains. A 10 hour trip. The scenery is beautiful. Mountains. Hills. I love the shops there.
Dad was in the Air Force and we traveled to Washington State, Tennessee, Florida and Arkansas. I hated moving and traveling. Road trips. Unless someone has a RV, I can borrow, road trips are too hard for me. Being cramped in a car. Same with airplanes. I will go if someone invites me to use their private jet.
I go to Lake Michigan. That is a 45 minute trip. Going shopping is a half hour. I am happy with short trips. No road trips for me anymore.
