Feeling Closer To God and Feeling Distant

Prompt: When do you feel distant from God and when do you feel closer to him?

I sometimes feel distant from God when I have some health issues. I feel he has forgotten me. When the world is having problems like we always do, I feel distant. I feel closer to God when I pray go to Church, go to independent communion we have at night at Church and when he answers prayer. I feel closer to God when I get good news and other people in need get good news. I pray to always feel close to God. I don't like feeling distant. I keep praying and want to be a good Christian.
