Gordon Lightfoot
Prompt: Gordon Lightfoot, a great singer died this week. Write about one of his songs in your Blog entry today.
I liked The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald. This song was so sad about how these men went down on an oil tanker ship. I always get emotional over Titanic and The Perfect Storm. The Edward Fitzgerald. The men were friends as well as workers. When a sailor dies, the bell rings one time each for man. Gordon Lightfoot sang folklike songs. I picture the men at sea in crisis and always feel sorry for them. The song has a beautiful melody and tells a story that touches our hearts. I pray for all these men and everyone who lost their life at sea. The lakes are cruel at times like the ocean. We need to respect the waters.
