Prompt: Featuring a teacher, a nurse or a librarian. Words: 100.
Heavy rain filled the library with white noise as little Beth stepped through the door.
"How can I help you today?" Jane asked from the desk, adjusting her glasses with a smile.
"I want to read a story about a pug dog who meets a unicorn."
Together they looked through the card catalog and scanned the children's shelves. There were none.
"Since we don't have what you'd like, would you be interested in writing it yourself?"
"Can you help me with it?"
"Certainly."
Years later, the seedling Jane nurtured revisited to donate an autographed copy: Fluffy Meets a Pink Unicorn.
