First Sermon
James unlocked the church doors and stepped inside. It was a spare, simple space, with a few rows of empty pews and a spot for the pulpit at the back. He stood there, juggling his oversized Bible and a bundle of notes.

This was his first sermon. His whole future life depended on making it the best it could be. He cleared his throat, tapping the mic as parishioners began filtering in.

When it was over, James lingered at the door, saying goodbye. One person shook his hand.

“Excellent sermon, pastor. I felt God speaking through you.”

It meant everything.
