Who Changed You?
My sweet child,
With rosy cheeks, sparkling eyes
A rough and tumble fun loving boy,
Bright in school, with infinite potential.
Your heart is as big as the sky.
There was never a sour day with you in itβ¦
Until now.
Who changed you?
When did bitterness sink into your soul,
Rotting you from the inside out?
Who broke your spirit, feeding you lies
Turning you into a cynical nihilistic boor?
You were once proudly straight edge,
Now you smell like skunks
With endless nonsensical excuses
For why you've abandoned your life.
I don't understand.
Who soiled my angel's wings?
Words: 100.
Written for Rachel's Beatles Challenge.
Chosen song: While My Guitar Gently Weeps
