~ Enduring Peace ~
The question for today is: "What is the best path to enduring peace?" In my humble opinion, the short answer is God. The longer answer includes trusting God, entering into His Presence and thanking Him always.
Proverbs 3:5-6 " tells us:
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
God is trustworthy—He is worthy of our trust. When we choose to acknowledge and trust Him, our confidence in Him and in His plans for us brings us peace.
Our circumstances can seem trying but we can trust God in the midst of storms. Trusting God in those moments can give us the peace that passes understanding. (Philippians 4:7)
One of the blessings we can receive as we trust Him and trust in His only begotten Son, is the privilege of entering into His Presence. In His Presence is fullness of joy. (Psalms 16:11)
I am convinced that the peace we receive at the Hand of Jesus resonates when we rest in His Presence.
How do we get there? How do we enter into His Presence and into His Peace?
Psalms 100:4-5 tells us to:
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
The way—the practically guaranteed way—to enter into the Presence of God is to thank Him, sincerely thank Him for all He is and all He does.
There is something close to a promise found in Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is staid on You, because he trusts in You.
Where do we find enduring peace? In Him...
As we trust in Him and seek Him, we can and will find that perfect peace...
The peace that endures forever!
