Day 2 Fairbanks, Alaska
We rode on a plane to Fairbanks, Alaska. I had Peyton sitting next to me. Best wolf ever. I am singing North To Alaska. I think of Jack London and his wolf stories. Sung'manitu   and Peyton get along good. StephBee  is writing a new romance on her lap too. WakeUpAndLive  and I are talking. She doesn't mind flying. Krista  is enjoying the scenery from the plane. It is a long flight. They showed the movie Titanic. Everyone tried to cheer me up when Jack dies. Peyton is lying on my lap.
We finally land. It is cold. We get to the Chena Hot Springs Hotel. It is nice. I love the fireplace. We go to lunch. The man at the desk was afraid of Peyton but Peyton won him over. Peyton got a steak. I had shrimp.
We got to see a sled dog race. Peyton is out sight seeing and meeting new friends. We saw moose, wolves, a white fox and Peyton is running with the wolves.
It was dark and we saw the northern lights. Pink, green, blue and purple. The lights are beautiful. I am in awe. StephBee Krista and myself are taking pictures. I wish we had these lights back in Indiana.
The next day, we went to see the ice museum. Everything is made out of ice. Ice, Ice Baby. I feel like the Ice Queen. I am Elsa. A moose made out of ice. There is an igloo. Flowers. Big ones and every flower in the world it seems. The unicorn made of ice caught my attention. There was even a lighthouse, Christmas Tree, wolf made of ice. Looks like Peyton. It is amazing what they can do with ice.
Peyton found his way home. It has been quite a day. It is starting to snow. My travelers and I go make snow angels. Sung'manitu and Peyton are rolling in the snow. Lyn's a Witchy Woman   joins in the fun. Alaska. I could live here. Here comes a moose. I pet him but he wants his space. So, we could go back in the hotel and go to the casino. It was a good day. |
