My Life Theme Songs
Prompt: Theme song. Joy asked what songs are our theme songs.
Where do I start? The song Angel By Sara McLaughlin comes to mind. Going through bad things in life. Mom dying. Not always feeling well. People not treating you right. In the arms of the angels. I believe in angels. I would like to think they are there for me. A sad song. Angels can comfort you.
Snowbird By Anne Murray. We played that song at Mom's funeral. Mom loved that song. I feel like flying away with a Snowbird if I could.
Somewhere Over The Rainbow By Judy Garland. We played that song at Mom's funeral. Over the rainbow is Heaven. I would love to see Heaven when I leave this world. Everyone is happy and things are perfect there.
Dreams Of The Everyday Housewife By Glen Campbell. Glen Campbell is my favorite singer. Well was. I play this song and remember my life before I was married. I had some lousy ex-boyfriends but there was one or two who were nice. I used to dance around thinking of good times. I had a good childhood even though my father went to Vietnam three times. Mom and I stayed with her parents. They were good times. I have been a housewife for a lot of years. I still have dreams. I do have a good marriage.
What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger, Live A Little Longer By Kelly Clarkson. I almost died from bowel obstruction surgery in 2013. When ever things are bad in my life, this song comes to mind. Knee replacement. Mom dying. A blood clot in my lung. This song has been like my theme song years and still is. I am still here and thanking God.
