Day 46 Mount Vernon, Virginia
We are on a plane to Mount Vernon, Virginia. George Washington's home. We got through security. The plane ride is quiet.
We are at Mount Vernon, Virginia. We check into a colonial hotel. It has the charm of a colonial inn. I like it here. I keep thinking George Washington slept here. I will, too tonight.
We are at George Washington's mansion. StephBee   WakeUpAndLive~snowflake wonder  AmyJo-me, myself, and I   Witchy Yule Woman  and I are by the waterwheel. It is fun watching the waterwheel go round. Šuŋgmánitu Tȟáŋka  Jellyfish~Happy New Year 2026  ❄️Krista❄️  and I go pet the horses. The scenery is mountains and I love it. George had a nice home. I have a gravy bowl Mom bought me at Mount Vernon, Virginia years ago. The grass is so nice and green. This is Heaven.
We are on a big boat on The Potamac River. Some white ducks and brown ducks are swimming in the water. The waters ripple. It looks like rainbow colors.

We go shopping. We buy postcards, minature waterwheels, George Washington coins and dolls of him and Martha. I bought a Martha Washington plates set and am having them sent to my house.
We go to Mount Rogers. We tgo on a hike and these mountains are just beautiful. It is like a orange and purple haze and these are so neat. We see a fox, horses, raccoons and some donkeys. I could live here.
So, we go to our hotel and I pretend I am a woman in Washington's time and planning a big dinner. I admire George Washington and his wife. On that note, I go to bed.
