Prompts day 6: Story to feature an older relative.
“Granny… you ok?” Mary touched her shoulder.
Her head was bowed low, hands folded, sitting on the garden bench. A worn-out Bible lay beside her. She opened her eyes, a warm smile on her wrinkled face.
“I'm fine, honey. I'm talking to our Father.”
“You're praying? It looks so strange.”
“Do you ever pray?”
“No… I'm not sure who God is.”
Granny plucked a tiny daisy from the weeds.
“The One Who designed this must be powerful, yet kindly, right?”
Mary held it, studying intricate, miniscule, perfectly placed details. She sat down next to her.
“Tell me about God, please.”
