Prompts day 13: Story to be a Western genre (or to include Western genre elements).

Justin swung off his horse, approaching the town from an alley in dusky shadows. A lurking figure acknowledged him with a brusque nod and an affirmative gesture.

Justin slipped into the tavern, gun drawn, and walked up to a table of ruffians. One man grew pale. He tried to bluff.

“I've done nothing!”

“You attacked my daughter. You thought I wouldn't find you?”

“I have friends here!”

“Do you?”

The ruffian glanced around in utter silence. No one met his eyes. He stood and ran.

Escape was impossible. Punishment came swiftly, without question. Justin rode into the sunrise, mission accomplished.
