How to Retain Your Dragon (Part II)
Arriving at Korrigan’s coastal cave lair, you notice that the ship that used to store his treasure has been removed. Sailing your boat into the cave, you discover that the back wall of the cave is an illusion. This is first by Thogun using his Steps of Night ability to walk on air and pass through the barrier, and then secondarily by Big-E who tried to copy Tho and ended up falling into the water in full plate mail, requiring him to vigorously swim to keep his head above water.

Pushing on through the illusion, you arrive at Korrigan’s actual layer. Climbing the steps to a raised reception hall, Big-E starts singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” into the vastness of the echoey cavern until Korrigan appears behind you. Korrigan engages in conversation (a good sign, considering the alternative), and tells you that he’s not interested in the return of the magic items; he’s interested in what you’re willing to do to make amends for the transgression. Ultimately, he tasks you with traveling to the Outer Plane of Elysium to find an old friend of his in order to return a pair of gauntlets and try to convince him to return to Aleria if possible for one last catch-up with an old friend.

Before you can set off on the quest to Elysium, however, Korrigan warns you that you’re about to have dangerous company at Harborcrest. He helps Thogun attune his Rod of Plane Shifting to one of the home sigil sequences in Harborcrest’s dungeon, and you all use that power to teleport home where you realize that the entire surrounding countryside is under attack from a platoon of demons led by the mage you ran into at the temple in El-Bereth. He demands The Well and The Way, although you make short work of him and all the lesser demons at his command.
