~ Homework ~

Yesterday, BattywynšŸŽ¶Prep! gave me some homework:

She was telling me to do something different with the goals I had written back in 1999. Yesterday, we were under the impression I had written them thirty years ago. I was relieved today when I discovered they were actually written only twenty-five years ago!

Well, BattywynšŸŽ¶Prep!, I spent most of the afternoon reviewing and revamping these "objectives!"

I found something Gemini is good for: revamping goals! We did have to come to terms for it to work.

We probably did not use all the letters but we have something much better than my 25 year old goals.

And I discovered there were ways in which I had moved in the direction of those goals without even trying--I was happy to see that and happy to see some realistic objective!

Tomorrow, we'll see how SMART they are! *Wink*

Old "Goal" #1:

1. Regain the intimacy that I have lost in my relationship with GOD.

New Objective #1:

Summarized by Gemini from our discussion of Goal #1.

"While we didn't explicitly rewrite Goal Number 1, we definitely shifted the focus of how you're approaching it.

Instead of the original goal of "regaining the intimacy as it was" in 1978, we've reframed it to focus on appreciating what you have now through your "Morning, Noon, and Night" practice, and trusting God to guide the integration of Bible study into your current life.

It's more about finding a present-day connection and a low-resistance approach rather than recapturing a past feeling."

For reference: Original 7 Goals from 1999:
