Time
What's always running, never stops,
Yet has no legs?
What ages us, moves tides, levels mountains,
Yet is silent, invisible, inexorable?
What can't be caught, yet catches up with us?
Humans divide, subdivide, never conquer
For it turns all to dust without even a touch.
Ivy crawls over crumbling stone walls,
Glittering castles decompose,
Bones break, heal, bleach under a thousand Suns.
Minds grow, breathe, shrink, shrivel;
Souls unshackled overcome worldly measurements.

Prompt: time.
