PROCRASTINATOR’S DILEMMA

Spinning vortex, whirling and twirling up above
Darkening the skies, blotting out the vibrant sun
As its cyclonic destruction fast approaches

Neighbors evacuated at the first warning
And I shook my head at their panicked foolishness
Tornadoes never touch down in our little town

They said I was crazy for staying in my house
While everyone else hurried and fled for safety
And now I’m alone with the tempest upon me

A red mailbox just flew by, on its way to Oz
I weighed my options carefully and decided
It is never too late to try and run for it!
