Overcomer
Prompt: Overcomer
A great time for this prompt. I have been through it all. Hysterectomy, house fire and I was on a breathing tube and sedated for five days. I almost died they tell me. I walk with a walker and am trying to walk on my own. I am in therapy and getting stronger but I get so down. I had bowel obstruction surgery {three at once!} and two hernias repaired. My abdomen is all bandaged and I have a Nurse come out every three days to change it. I am on a wound vac and I am having a hard time but I can over come it. Like Kelly Clarkson's Song: "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger, Live A Little Longer." Thanks, Kelly. These help me get through my day along with prayers. My girlfriend says: "God isn't ready for me, yet and the Devil won't have me." I am sure I can overcome this. I cry sometimes but I am slowly doing the things I used to do. I stay by myself during the day. I have my kitty. I have a therapist come in three days a week and I see my Wound Care Nurse twice a week. My husband has been supportive and so has my mother. I have friends who call me and I am not alone. I am a survivor. I am going forward not backwards. I have God and Jesus in my corner. I can't wait to get back to normal. Everyone at WDC has been wonderful as well. Overcomer? Yes, I Am!
