Being Introduced To People
Prompt: When you are introduced to people, do you hug, shake hands, nod your head or just acknowledge them with a verbal greeting? What's your style? Does it depend on the person?
When I meet someone who is new at work, I just smile and say "Hello." If the person wants to shake my hand, I shake their hand. My close friend's daughter and father who I was so happy to meet, I hugged them. When I met my brother-in-law the first time, he hugged me. My sister is my half sister. When I met her half sister's husband, he hugged me. When you meet someone at a funeral that is related to the deceased, I hug them. When I met my niece's husband at her Wedding, he hugged me. I don't have a problem hugging people or shaking their hand. If the world hugged more or shook hands, it would be a better world. This is National Hug Day.
