Listening To Reason
Prompt: "I'll not listen to reason-reason always means what someone else has to say." Elizabeth Gaskell What are your thoughts on this?
I hate when someone says listen to reason. I agree with Elizabeth. If someone has something to say that I agree with or like, I will follow their advice. Don't say reason with me. I know there is a reason for this, a reason for that but I hate the word reason. I prefer someone say to me: "You want some good advice? I say this because I care about you and want to help." You have my attention and I will listen and take this advice into consideration. Works better then saying the word reason to me. My grandfather said I was hard to reason with. The Beatles had the word reason in a song. I don't want to hear the word reason. Just give me advice and let me know you are there for me and I promise to do the same for you.
