The Next Best Thing
Prompt: The next best thing. What has been the next best thing in your life?
Being in Beauty Pageants in High School. I didn't win but I did get a Finalist Plaque for National Teenager. I consider this my next best thing. I got published twice. I will never be Danielle Steel or famous like Jane Austen but this is my next best thing. I am not a millionaire but my husband and I live in a nice ranch style house in the country. I buy a few Kate Spade jewelry items, have nice clothes and have a few nice things. I am retired now and I get to relax. I have God and Jesus in my life. I have a cat. My son lives in Minnesota and me in Indiana but we stay in touch. I feel this is my next best thing. I have a pretty good life, friends on WDC and in my everyday life and some great family members. My next best thing is just being me.
