Big Sister
And his sister stood at a distance to find out what would happen to him.
Exodus 2:4 (NASB)
Mariam watched her Mother build
a chest from wicker, tar, and pitch.
She watched her Mother tearfully
place her baby brother in it.
Mariam watched from a distance
while he was placed by the river.
But Mariam was not alone,
angels were watching - hovering -
answering a Mother's prayer.
