Each Day Already is a Challenge

A Texas Sunrise

Sunrise on Surfside Beach, Texas

A friend, William Taylor, took this picture. He visits Surfside Beach with his dogs almost every morning, watching the sun rise while the dogs prance about at the water's edge.

This is only about ten miles from where I lived in Lake Jackson, Texas. Sadly, I only visited this beach about four times in the six years I lived nearby.

Each day is a challenge. A challenge to get by without thinking about the fibromyalgia pains. A challenge to stay awake when chronic fatigure wants to take over. And a challenge to navigate through fibro fog.

I haven't been writing as much as in the past. For years, I wrote at least 500 words a day. Now, I'm lucky if I write 500 words in month. Sigh.

Dang, my friend. When it rains, it pours. I believe that epitomizes your struggles.

Undergoing my own struggles with kidney cancer--outlined in my Blog--I both empathize and sympathize with your situation. I admit I've been extremely fortunate with the surgery and treatments I'm receiving. I also believe prayers work, something I'm not sure I believed until my wife got involved.

I'm praying for you. And I hope your cancer meds continue their success.

Thank you for sharing your story. It helps the rest of us.

We will wait another 6 months, unless the lump grows or something else happens.

Once you see it, I am sure it is hard to "unsee" it. LOL. I looked up the title but did not see it listed online. You don't see many bloopers like that around here, but I am sure they are out there.

I researched the falling man and looked at victim and family stories. I am sure there were some kind of city remembrance events. I did my own, allowing myself to watch the terrifying videos, and reports, and documentaries the entire day to remember. There already is a generation who don't remember anything unless they learned something in school or from their own family about the attacks of 9/11.

Prayers please

I'm not sure what's going on with my son. He's 23, remember. Has had the feeling of a racing heart since yesterday at about 4 pm. I wanted to take him to the emergency room, but...he's a guy. He finally did sleep, called off from work. But this mom didn't sleep much!

Last night, his BP was LOW. 103/46, 114/54, 105/48. His pulse rate was usually around 115. Considering that he's now more healthy than ever, I'm thinking his normal pulse rate is in the lower part of the "normal" which the internet says is 60-100. So being over the 100 probably does feel like a racing heart to him.

This morning before getting out of bed, his BP was 99/47 with pulse 118. I don't think those are good numbers for resing numbers. Anyone know about these things????

He has consented to seeing a doc this afternoon. He NEEDS to work tonight (since he missed last night and since his last night is Saturday) and will need a doctor's note if he has to have a light work night.
