Each Day Already is a Challenge
A Texas Sunrise

Sunrise on Surfside Beach, Texas

A friend, William Taylor, took this picture. He visits Surfside Beach with his dogs almost every morning, watching the sun rise while the dogs prance about at the water's edge.

This is only about ten miles from where I lived in Lake Jackson, Texas. Sadly, I only visited this beach about four times in the six years I lived nearby.

Each day is a challenge. A challenge to get by without thinking about the fibromyalgia pains. A challenge to stay awake when chronic fatigure wants to take over. And a challenge to navigate through fibro fog.

I haven't been writing as much as in the past. For years, I wrote at least 500 words a day. Now, I'm lucky if I write 500 words in month. Sigh.

For more information about what my day (or life) is all about with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic pains, IBS, depression and everything else thrown in, check this out:

It's a New Day Open in new Window. (E)
My pain and welcome to it.

Never forget that the #3 cause of death in the United States is medical errors, behind cancer and heart problems. ♡♡♡♡♡♡

I copied this from my Facebook page. The first sentence here is the latest information.

Please pray!

***UPDATE: They have taken my hubby to ICU.

Prayers for my hubby. So much to tell, but I'm not ready. He's being transferred to a room where the nurses have fewer patients so they can better observe him. He's quite confused. The doctor and nurse have been calling me with regular updates.

He's scheduled to see his regular kidney doc said urologist, plus a gastro doc and neurologist. And after all of that, then they will start getting him physical and occasional therapy. And from the hospital, he will likely go to a rehab facility.

Update #2: The hospital is full so Jim probably won't be assigned a room until morning. They say that he has sepsis.

Update: The ER nurse said that Jim's temperature was 104 when he arrived. She noticed that even when he can answer a question, he's having to think about the answer first. He's going to be admitted because of his temperature and because his heart rate is elevated.

Prayers please.

I woke up at 3 am with a 102.5 temperature. Took some aspirin and woke up a few hours later at 101.

Then, my hubby fell down again and couldn't get up about 10:30 am. I was in the bathroom when it happened and it sounded bad. I think that he hit his head.

He was inappropriately laughing at some questions, for me and for the EMTs when they got here. Plus there were some things that he couldn't answer. Additionally, he was moving his mouth as if he wanted to answer, but nothing was coming out. Possible stroke?

They took hubby to the ER. My doc advised me not to go since I have a temperature and since my immune system is compromised with having cancer.

My wonderful neighbor said that she will check on Jim for me. I'm waiting for the ER nurse to call me, but they are busy.
