Prompt: Lyn asked us if we remember Prince's song Kiss and what we were doing in February 1986. She asked if we liked Prince's music.
I loved Prince and his song Kiss. I have a Prince Group here and my own Merit Badge I commissioned. What I was doing in February 1986? Working at the nursing home. Selling Avon. My son was in third grade. In that same year, I remember the tragedy of The Challenger blowing up. I was unhappy at my job but everything else in my life was good.
I watched the movie Purple Rain at my father-in-law's house. We got cable later. I loved the music and teen movies back then. I was younger and I wish I was still that young. Prince was great and it is sad he died. I do have good memories of the 80s.

Prompt: Writing about calm today.
Calm. The wind is calm. The snow calms down. Things are quiet. A wind can be calm. People can be calm. Sometimes people aren't. We need to think of happy things and things we love that make us calm. I worked in mental health and it was hard to be calm and calm down the patients. Praying to be calm helps as well. Being calm spreads love and peace as well as kindness.

Song: Run By One Republic
Challenge For 48 Hour Media
I had never heard this song. The guy is in the city and sings that he spends all his money. He is standing with an umbrella in the rain. He is in a western movie with an Asian man shooting each other with no guns. He used the word run. I have heard songs by this group before but I wouldn't call this song one of their best. I guess this song has a catchy phrase and beat. Like on American Bandstand, I would give it a 7. Easy to dance to.
Run. I guess we all run from things in life. Like a job we don't like. People we don't care for. Sometimes, we run to things we are anxious about. Writing, reading, shopping, lunch with friends, celebrating Christmas.
Some people like to run Marathons. In high school, there was track. I never liked to run. At my age and arthritis, I walk. I will get there. I guess I would have to run if T Rex showed up.
I think of Bruce Springsteen's song Born To Run. My kind of song. I think of Lionel Ritchie's song Running With The Night.
In school, teachers tell you walk, don't run. I walked. I hated when kids ran to the bus. The bus won't leave without us.
This song. It wouldn't be on my Playlist but I enjoy hearing new songs. I confess. This song is running through my mind. Hopefully, I won't dream about it. I guess it is a catchy tune like I said. I will run to get this posted.

Prompt: What is happiness? Write about it from a cat's point of view or a living thing's point of view.
Cat. I have a home, people who love me, fresh water everyday and food. I have a nice warm bed and toys to play with. I get petted and I have the run of the house. I get to look out the window. An cat that likes to go outdoors, is happy to run in the flowers, watch the birds and chase bugs. A cat loves sunshine and the world is his playground. This is a cat's point of view on happiness.
