I work as a Qualified Medication Assistant in mental health. I am married and have a striped gray cat named Tigger. The timing of finding that paper about Russia is interesting. I heard Melania Trump wrote to Putin and it meant something to him. It's an interesting time when, maybe, the war will finally end and Russia will behave for a while. We live in hope!

I hope you feel better soon.

It's been a tough year with both allergies and sinus problems. There's still smoke in the air, from the Canadian fires. That adds to misery.

Today I cooked for my brother. I actually made him a Sunday dinner on Sunday. He'll be back on Thursday when the kids come for a second Sunday dinner.

It is wonderful to learn more about a classic favorite movie. I associate it with my childhood, watching it with my parents every year.

It was made in 1939, which is regarded the best year ever for cinema. Gone With the Wind overshadowed everything that year.

But Wizard of Oz has certainly stood the test of time.

I love the insight you provide on this beloved part of my movie watching life.

Every day is a story. My brother is going to DC today so I am waiting to hear that it went okay. This is in the news and I hope he doesn't get in the middle of something that is out of control. He is probably safer now then he would have been before the National Guard went in to straighten things out.

Knowledge and Mysterious

Prompt: After all your knowledge, what stays mysterious to you?

Medical things. I worked in nursing but there are still questions and mysteries about why Doctors can't cure everything. Aliens. Are they out there? Sea creatures, monsters, ghosts and supernatural creatures, mermaids, vampires, werewolves. Are they real? Why can't we get evidence that they exist? People. They are still hard to figure out. The stars, planets, universe, the moon. They are always a mystery. These things are a mystery to me.

Christmas In July

Prompt: How do you feel about Christmas in July events?

Sales in July help people get their Christmas shopping done when money is tight. My husband and I loved going to Michigan to the Christmas store in Michigan but haven't gone due to Covid and I am facing knee replacement surgery. Having Christmas in July gives us something to look to with things being so grim. July is early for Christmas but there are positive outcomes. Start saving and planning Christmas in July and it will make things easier when Christmas does come along.

Surprise, Good Positive Experience

Prompt: Joy asked if we like surprises and what would be a nice surprise and positive experience for the 4TH of July?

Meeting Johnny Depp. Seriously. I would like to see the war in Ukraine end and have Russia get their butt kicked. I would like to see an end to animal abuse. I would like to see Covid end, Stock Market stay up and the price of everything to go down. The President is a disappointment. I would like to see what I just mentioned happen. Time for a peaceful, happy world.

Mentor Merit Badge

Prompt: Write about a time you mentored someone or someone was a mentor to you.

I worked in mental health. The first person DM wanted to get his GED. He was taking classes and I helped him study the lesson book. He was good at answering questions and doing the work. Three weeks he ran away from the facility. He came back for 2 weeks then left again. I asked him about his GED and he was no longer interested. He ran off with his ex-wife.

Another guy A wanted me to help him study. I went over the lesson with him and he started bucking like a horse in his chair and making horse noises. That was it for him. He wanted to goof off.

A woman K wanted to get her GED. Okay. I worked the midnight shift. She came down every night for an hour and I studied with her. She passed all her tests. She got her GED! She was 23 but she did it.

Another woman Y wanted to get her GED. She asked me to help her write a story and I did. She got her GED but she already had her GED. Now, she had 2. You can never have too much education.

The one woman S liked to write poems. She asked me for advice and I helped her write poems and she taught me things as well. She got her poem published in the newspaper.

I would help my son with his homework and he is a Psychologist now.

I helped mentor a few people. I am glad. Too bad I failed with DM and A. I didn't want to use real names. Thanks for reading.

Dreams, Tempest, Revels

Our revels now are ended. These are actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and are melted into thin air:

I love this passage. This is the last thing said by Barnabas Collins, the vampire we all love on the series Dark Shadows. The vampires, ghosts, supernatural, witches and this is all so fitting. Actors who played great roles in Dark Shadows. Spirits were in this show. Gorgeous palaces. Mansions i movies and real life as Downton Abbey comes to mind. The great globe itself. The earth. Books, TV Shows, fiction. These are such stuff as dreams are made of. Our life is rounded with a sleep.

Isn't this about life as well as fictional TV Shows? Our revels now are ended. Rather be a job, a new chapter in your life. A new chapter in your life. We inherit money from relatives. Maybe we inherit a cat or a prized possession. We have dreams and maybe make them come true. Our little life is rounded with a sleep. Enjoy the life you have. Hang on to your dreams and it is alright to love fiction rather you are a writer or not. We do our best and it is okay to dream. Revels. Make new ones and love your life. Aren't we all just actors in our play and drama?
