I am a professional musician  , worship leader , small business owner , songwriter , aspiring author and freelance nonfiction writer with a chemical engineering degree .
But that's just my resume.
My profile of qualifications is only one of the ways in which I am unique. Here I chronicle my personal and professional goals and my efforts to achieve them. Occasionally I fail. Mostly, I take daily baby steps toward all my long-term goals. Much like the stories I pen, the songs I compose, and the businesses I run, I am always a work in progress.

 In progress on the article I grabbed Monday. Slacker!
Meet other writing goals.
 MochaNotes.com list: Readership is exploding, so that's good. I'm still keeping an eye on it. When I finish my ad campaign, I'll be able to see if it's just people clicking my ads or loyal readers coming back for more.
Launch one new performance repertoire song per week.
 Pending. I remembered my music binder yesterday, so I have no excuse.
Write one new original song per month.
Goal met: Hey, Baby
Brand the biz(es.)
Goal met. I spent some time at Commercial Property Prospect #1 and took measurements. Then I updated my business plan with actual lease and capacity numbers. Lookin' good. 
15 minutes of small biz research per day.
Goal met. I discovered a new local competitor who just moved into town, although they spell more trouble for Molly, my former employer, than me, because of their location. If I have long-term plans to expand into the area they serve, it might affect me. While I was at it, I checked out another local competitor and was shocked to find them competition for my performance gigs, too. I need to take this goal seriously and dedicate fifteen minutes every single day to raising my awareness of local competition.
Perform one household chore per day.
 FAIL... just dinner. I need to do a load of laundry today. It builds up so quickly.  But one of the other music directors at church had a stroke, and the rest of us have been filling in for her. I have some church-related stuff to do today.
Achieve a weight of 145.0 by 6/1/10.
