The title of this book is "An Ordinary Life".
I may have lived an ordinary life but I serve an extraordinary God. If you do not yet know Him, may you meet Him through my words. If, like me, you know a Risen Savior, may my words resonate with you and your heart burn within you as you read them. We will know the Truth and the Truth will set us free! 
Reminiscing...November 30, 2018 at 3:26pm I had an interesting experience once: My life flashed before my eyes. Actually, it was like clicking through scenes from my life with one of those old timey view-master toys.
When I tell folks this, for some reason they immediately tend to think I saw all the bad things I ever did. That was not the case at all.
Mostly, I saw lots and lots and lots of mundane scenes: brushing my teeth, folding laundry, the kind of things we do quite often.

This morning I am going to tell about an experience I had at Logos Ministries in Morton, Illinois years and years ago.
I don't remember what was preached that day. What I remember was my response to the invitation that day and what happened after that.
The sermon probably played a role in all this but the events leading up to my responding the way I did are now forgotten.

"Whatever you ask in My Name..."
I can remember the first time this verse jumped off the page for me.
I remember how amazed I was by these words. I was very excited!
I was in Sunday School at that moment. I motioned for my Sunday School teacher to come to my side. I excitedly pointed to the verse and asked, "What does this mean?"
It was such an amazing promise, I could hardly believe it.

God, Please change my relationship with food.
After those words were spoken, I began to eat my breakfast and a thought came:
"When you eat, eat."
It isn't a new idea but, if I act on it, it will be a new behavior for me. I usually eat while doing something else - watching tv or a video, listening to tv or an audio-book, attempting to read -
