I am a 40 year old married mother of two teenage boys. I live for writing, especially romance. Love the happily ever after scenerio. The best thing about writing for me is the ability to lose yourself in your work, and feel as if you've accomplished something great. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

Poisoned Purple Pen

She sat down at her old wooden desk, pen at the ready. Her thoughts raced. What shall I write today? Tilting her head to the side, a small smile tugged at the corner of her mouth before enveloping her delicate face. The purple ink began to fill the once blank sheet, each stroke a labor of pure joy as the words flowed from her mind, her heart, her very soul.

My Dreams...

to write of romance and endless love
to love without boundaries
to learn from past mistakes
to laugh with all my heart
to be the woman I am meant to be

TODAY...

I will reach for the stars

Will not give up

Will give all that I have

Dare to dream the impossible dream

For anything in this life is possible

Nai is so beautiful! She looks very wise. Oh, boy grandma, you're going to have your hands full when that one is old enough to join Kaia in making Teta run around like a headless chicken! Enjoy those moments. They grow so fast!

Hopefully you can avoid Shingles. It must be awful for your daughter-in-law having them and just having given birth.

Alzheimer's is horrible. Your poor mom breaking down thinking her parents just passed away. It has to be so frightening for her.

MAD indeed! I know how you feel, Vertigo-wise. I've had it for years. When peeps call me a dizzy dame, it's for real.

Hand surgery sounds like a painful process. My hands are feeling the grip of arthritis. I have trigger finger issues, and pain in the joints. At least you have the surgery behind you. PT can be a real pain. I try to avoid that torture. ...

My granddaughter makes slime with her friends and they play with it for hours. I think it's disgusting, too!

Can't wait to hear about the new little one and the fun you and Kaia are having.

The Bard's Hall, June 19 2025,- entry 4 - Waaaay Behind

And, I'm waaaaayyyy effing behind

I haven't done anything for "I Write in 2025" this month. I figured that since I signed up for "The Beatles Musical Extravaganza" , it would help me catch up at I write. WRONG! I have three short stories started, but they are currently stored on my phone. Helpful!

Physical therapy is kicking my ass. It takes two days for my hand to stop aching like it's sitting in a damn vise. I am making progress, typing is still, all fingers of the left hand engaged, thumb, first, and middle finger of the right. Every time I forget and try to reach forward and strike a key with the ring finger, it's like the tip of a knife searing through my finger.

I don't know how I forgot what PT was like after hand surgery, when I've been through this before on the thumb of my left hand—pain, misery, and finally, victory. At least, that's my hope.

I have several tests scheduled for the upcoming weeks.

My vertigo has cleared up, as the crystal moved back into place in my right ear. WooHoo!! I have a hearing test scheduled for Tuesday to see why I hear better in one ear than the other. We may be able to rule out Meniere's Disease. Looking forward to that.

The following week, I have a CT scan of my lungs and the lovely bone density test.

I was supposed to see the hand surgeon this morning, but they moved my appt later today, which is in like an hour. I'm hoping to get these buddy bands off today. It's hot and itchy and driving me mad, mad MAD I tell ya!

And I do realize, I am behind with "The Bard's Hall Contest" as well. But hey, I think I managed 4 posts. Here's to hoping I can manage all 10.
