Jane Austen Writing Contest 250 Years
Jane Austen was born in 1875. We are celebrating 250 Years of Jane Austen. WDC is celebrating 25 Years. I wanted to do a Jane Austen Contest for the event. I am your host. ♥OctOGre tHiNg♥   will be helping me judge the entries.   This contest is accepting short stories or poems. You can write either one or both but only one can win if chosen. Short Stories should be 750 Words to 2,000 Words. Poems need to be 16 lines and no more then 40 lines. Keep items at ASR please. Mention the number 25 in your item and 250. You can mention the word Birthday as well. This Contest starts September 1, 2025 and ends September 30, 2025. Winners will be announced October 12, 2025. Prompts: 1. Write a story or poem using Jane Austen's titles of her novels. 2. Write a poem or story using one or more of Jane Austen's characters from her novels. The ideas below came from:♥OctOGre tHiNg♥ 3. Jane Austen was close with her sister Cassandra. Cassandra was supportive of her sister's writing. Write about their relationship. 4. Jane's brother Henry got Jane's novels published.
