About This Author
My name is Joy, and I love to write. Why poetry, here? Because poetry uplifts its writer, and if she is lucky enough, her readers, too. Around us, so many objects abound to write about. Once a poet starts with a smallest, most trivial object, he shall discover that his pen will spill out what is most delicate or most majestic hidden inside him. Since the classics sometimes dealt with lofty subjects with a lofty language, a person with poetry in his soul may incline to emulate that. That is understandable. Poetry does that to a person: it enlarges the soul and gives it wings. Yet, to really soar, a poet needs to take off from the ground. ~~Image #1514072 Sharing Restricted~~

I couldn't think of how to link envy with Passkey ring, so I used your prompt and came up with this. It's been edited of course. Had to for Duck's Spinning Nouns Contest! Had to give it it's own item number too, "Not amused am I,Open in new Window., should anyone choose to review it. Thanks so much for the prompt. Three titles gave me someplace to begin and it flowed from there.

Not amused am I,

                             She has so many things,
treasured words and locked up rings.
And now she has my Muse.

He left me sad-song notes, how
homeward-bound to sounds-of-silence
would be better still than hope
that April-come-she-will this final day,
September. "You remember,

don't you?"

                   So wrote he!

But I suspect he's gone to She-
who-siren-sang "I need a muse",
or some come-hither invitation
to gambol among her baubles.

By jitters, April's locked him up!
With characters and treason,
pressed his luck between
the chapters of her seasoned novel.
Keeps him hidden there.

                                       I swear.
No pass for me. No key. So many gems
has She and now my Muse. My empty
Passkey ring won't let him sing to me.
She croons his songs of early Spring
and keeps her passwords private.
