My name is Joy, and I love to write. Why poetry, here? Because poetry uplifts its writer, and if she is lucky enough, her readers, too. Around us, so many objects abound to write about. Once a poet starts with a smallest, most trivial object, he shall discover that his pen will spill out what is most delicate or most majestic hidden inside him. Since the classics sometimes dealt with lofty subjects with a lofty language, a person with poetry in his soul may incline to emulate that. That is understandable. Poetry does that to a person: it enlarges the soul and gives it wings. Yet, to really soar, a poet needs to take off from the ground. Kiya's gift. I love it!

Hauntingly beautiful, Decora.

I love the narrative in it, so human. We all have a beloved person we have dreamt of (or thought we saw him alive and well in front of us in broad daylight) after his passing away. You put that grief to words in a way that it touches the soul.

"I seem to write more in Prose than rhyming poetry. Now I know where my weakness is."

I don't think that is a weakness. Many great poets nowadays write poetry as if they are writing prose.
Speaking of myself, I don't like writing (or reading) end-rhymed poetry all that much, unless a pro like Robert Frost does it. Any rhymed poem I have written feels fake to me. On the other hand, I love meter, but I can't do that well either.
