About This Author
My name is Joy, and I love to write. Why poetry, here? Because poetry uplifts its writer, and if she is lucky enough, her readers, too. Around us, so many objects abound to write about. Once a poet starts with a smallest, most trivial object, he shall discover that his pen will spill out what is most delicate or most majestic hidden inside him. Since the classics sometimes dealt with lofty subjects with a lofty language, a person with poetry in his soul may incline to emulate that. That is understandable. Poetry does that to a person: it enlarges the soul and gives it wings. Yet, to really soar, a poet needs to take off from the ground. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

Animal Omen Poem Prompt
White Doves and Myself

A dove of pure white,
Gives a ray of hope,
Shines like a beaken in the night,
Is even used to show where lovers can elope.

When a white dove is seen,
At a child's birth.
That child is pure of spirit,
With the heart of the Earth.

Christians say white doves
Will bring hope and love.
Indians say white doves
Show the path to above

I was born while a white dove was at my window,
I have seen one my self with regular ones, all in a row.
I have been lucky in love and life,
And have never been too tempted, even in strife.

Katdco-A wise woman once told me that the easiest way to insult the Lord is to hide the tallents he gave you.
