Let's say it's a fantasy about a pixie who---uh---let's see---you need to characterize the pixie---maybe female (are all pixies female?) named Penelope, with blue wings (do pixies have wings?) who is banished from her tree in the woods and is scared and lonely (conflict--you have to have conflict, or struggle, to create a rising action towards your climax). The setting or scene is the woods. Describe the woods, dark and deep and with noises and smells. You can take it from there. Remember Most importantly --- Penelope HAS to be BELIEVABLE to you and to your readers. Something terrible (or wonderful) happens -- that's your climax -- and Penelope has a revelation -- a life changing enlightenment -- that results in.......It's your story. That's the wonder of writing!!! You are a Creator of visions and inspiration for your readers. You can open up a night of entertainment for us as we read long into the night about Penelope and her fears, struggles, enlightenment and resolution to a happy, or sad ending. So, there you go.
