I want to write something, but i don't know what, and I've clicked on the link labeled "The Writing Assignment", but the topic's and directions are somewhat vague. Also, I've never written a short-story or a book(unlike other members of this board/site), so i don't really know where to start. The only type of writing i know is essays, research-papers and lab-reports, you-know, College assignments. In-fact, that is basically why i registered. There are websites that hire writers to write College-papers, and i am seeking such a job, but i do not believe i am qualified for that position yet. My portfolio is minimal and of sub-par quality, while my resume is inadequate. My goal(through this website) is to work towards improving my chances of getting hired but I don't know where to start.

I would really appreciate some help. -
