In the spirit of inspiring the WDC Community to write, to break through Writer's Blocks and to stretch our "Genre Boundaries," I am the creator of the March 2010 GenreChallenge, as well as coordinator, reviewer, and judge. I came up with this idea in Jan (I've run the Jan and Feb. blogging challenges for Frontliners, but wanted to do something in the fiction realm for March.) March GenreChallenge is a 5-week challenge requiring all new entries; multiple entries allowed. 3 Divisions: short story/flash fiction; poetry; historical (any venue) Weeks 1-4 are selected Genres; Week 5 is free-for-all, author's choice. Every entry gets one review by me plus one more review from that author's Port. Only 500 gps per entry, and with each entry you get 2 reviews! How can you lose? Come on out and stretch your imagination-write beyond your Genre Boundaries-write originally, creatively, and imaginatively!
