Very helpful-you've zeroed right in on "where you are now" and "how you feel" about it.
Hmm-- as far as writing at the interest level of your fourteen-year-old, that I can relate to. A couple of my novels (in one series) are YA's-and I enjoy reading YA myself because often there's good plotting, great characterization, and good writing, without all the extraneous sensuality of many adult novels.
Now on the nonfiction part, I hope someone else comes forward. You have a very worthwhile goal! Someone asked me last fall about reviewing nonfiction, so I know there are other nonfiction devotees here at WDC-I just don't know, at the moment, who.
