Clearing my head
by A Non-Existent User
Hey everyone, I have been doing a whole lot of research over the last few days. Mostly on childrens poetry, chapbook publishing, and advice. I have found a lot of crazy things- I have found publishers who say they can do childrens books- but mention nothing of poetry. I have found articles advising authors to not trust a publisher who claims to publish poetry- that most poetry is self published if it several in chapbook format. The magazines are best source to publish a few poems here and there- but ultimately for any kind of book of poetry- self publishing is the way to go. Then i look into the self publishing- Wow- how does anyone know which ones to trust or not? ISBN numbers- yikes. I have been researching Create space and Lulu for sources of everything- Lulu so far seems like the easier one- but I think some of their stuff might not be as unique- cover design and such wise, where createspace has a bit more freedom for a almost 300 dollars more. Even crazier- with ranging over the 600 dollar mark for self publishing- I do not want to go with the wrong one- so yeah my head is spinning and none of my family or friends have a clue what I'm talking about. Thanks for listening to me rant. Ladywriter1 ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
