Kiya, so many newbies find me and I become attached to them. ((How do they find me??? Is there a list or something?)) Recently darkwrite13 contacted me and we struck up a dialog. She is thirteen years old, and I really want her to hang in and stay with Writing.com. I have begun giving her little "assignments" to help her learn ML code and so forth. I reward her efforts with little surprises, etc.... What do we need to do to become part of the official mentoring program? Does she need to request a mentor? We just started e-mailing each other a couple of days ago. As I've worked with the newcomers I've sort of developed a little routine. It's different with each one because some have more computer skills than others. Basically, I give them little lessons and then give them a little assignment. We progress until they are confident and no longer need my help. I have really come to enjoy doing this. I would like to mentor on a regular basis. I'm actually mentoring two right now. The other one is an SAJ member LinnAnn -Book writer ![]() ![]() ![]() Let me know what you think of my technique and what I need to do in order for this to be officially considered mentoring for Angel Army. By the way, we are hosting an auction in celebration of my birthday, Sept. 1st. We will probably open for donations in the middle of August and then for bids on my birthday. We have chosen Angel Army as one of our beneficiaries in appreciation for all that you have done for SAJ and for all that you do with the Angel Army program. We just wanted you to know how much we appreciate you! ![]() Be especially kind to everyone you meet, for every person is fighting some kind of battle. ![]() Check out my new Rising Star, Mia - craving colour ![]() Other ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
