I have to agree. I was never permitted to use Wikepedia for papers in high school, college, or grad school, but for writers it is definitely an easy way to get comprehensive information on a subject like Dungeons and Dragons or musical instruments all in one place. Plus, as you said, it can lead you to other sources. I will admit I have used Wikepedia a TON during this process.
