http://www.cracked.com/photoplasty_241_if-everything-operated-rube-goldberg-logi... I was hunting around for internet funnyness when I came across this and I started thinking about Rube Goldberg machines. Y'know, the original Rube Goldberg machines weren't actually real life- they were just cartoons: http://paulahawks.wikispaces.com/file/view/rube-goldberg.jpg/132992821/rube-gold... But the world saw these, and as one shouted, "Holy crap! That's awesome! I gotta try that!" And the Rube Goldberg machine phenomenon was born. The fun thing about Goldberg machines is they don't really get old- it's not a passing fad. We've been obsessed with them for awhile now, and it doesn't look as if they're going away any time soon.
