Looking for a writing partner/buddy
by A Non-Existent User
Hello, hello ![]() My name is Brooke Marie, and I'm looking for a writing partner who is serious about polishing their craft for publishing. I'm going to start endeavoring into the publishing world, and I'd love someone who is experienced or can show support. I'll admit, it's a little overwhelming! I'm looking for a fellow writer to swap reviews with, but also a friendship to gain support from. I don't know any writers in person. Writing.com is my source for encouragement from those who know the struggles and beauty of writing. I write mostly free verse poetry right now. My poetry is more based on emotional, imagery, romance/love, personal, experience, and sometimes nature. I want to purse Christian nonfiction, or simply nonfiction. I've been through a lot personally, and I want to use my experiences to help others. Fiction is something that I really want to develop my skills in, but I'll admit - I haven't written much fiction. I want to become a better fictional writer, mainly to write more on the lines of literary fiction...hopefully a novel one day. I would definitely want to help my writing partner with accountability for their goals, offer support, reviewing their work, and helping them through the publishing world (if that's what they're pursuing). I don't mind reading others' work, but I'll give a warning - I know nothing about certain genres, and I don't think I'd be very good at offering an insightful review on fantasy, erotica, or horror (like really really bloody horror. I do like suspense/scary though). I don't have enough time to really get involved with reviewing groups, but it would be much easier if I just had a few to swap reviews with, support, and get to know. Anyways, thanks for reading! If anyone's interested, please shoot me an email or reply to the post.
