"Alicia' go play outside while I make your lunch" mother called from the back porch.

"OK mommie" she responded and went down to play by the flower beds. alicia loved to play by the flowers because she loved the smells of the various types. While she was testing the fragrences there was a movement in the grass by the rocks which surrounded the flower beds. It looked like a green rock but it had moved. Rocks don't move thought alicia. So she bent right over and looked carefully at the rock. Then he noticed that it had eyes. Two little beady eyes. Then she noticed a mouth down below. Suddenly a long ribbon like tongue snaked out of the mouth.

Hey this is neat thought alicia. I wonder what this thing is. She reached down with her hand and touched the little green lump and it jumped. Alicia fell back in amazement. She had never seen a ittle green lump like this before and now it jumped.
