Dragon


I look and search for the shields and swords,
After all, I have dragons to kill and thwart.
The dragons which threaten to suffocate my relations,
The dragons which are trying to burn my elation.

The dragon of insecurity which breathes fire
I search for the sword of trust to end its ire,
Then there is the dragon of jealousy sleeping somewhere inside.
I need the sword of confidence to always keep it aside.
How can I forget the dragon of anger flaring every time,
I need the sword of patience to end its crime.
Somewhere there is dragon of misunderstanding raising its head,
I need the sword of compassion to kill it in its bed.

I promised long ago I won't let these dragons succeed,
Howsoever fierce the fight, I will not accede.
So I look and search for the shields and swords,
After all, this war has my life's happiness as its reward.
