The speed boat roared in Loki's long ears, drowning out the bastards snide comments but she couldn't help but look into the water slick rear view mirror. He wasn't taking the mission seriously. Hell, he wasn't taking surfing seriously. She found her teeth and gripped the wheel, itching to turn sharply and drop the bastard in the deep blue.

A hand grabbed her shoulder and she jumped, jerking the wheel to the left. In her peripheral vision she could see Kirk tossed about but still hanging on. She allowed a wicked grin then turned to Winston, her pair off for the mission. "Don't worry, we can trust him."

Loki scoffed and fixated on the water road ahead. "You trust to easily."

"Did they give us much a choice this time?" He sat back in his seat, also relaxing as if this were a vacation.

"He's treating this like a joke. Listen to him back there."

Winston's response was a half a second late, enough to make Kirk's cheering apparent. "He's selling our cover."

She rolled her eyes. "You've got an excuse for everyone."

"Don't forget I had ones for you too when you joined."

He was readying for a lecture and Loki hadn't the patience to sit through it. Her hand moved to a glass box beside the ignition. She flicked it open with her thumb. "I'm cutting it."

"Loki wait! No...!"

Her fist slammed the red button, jamming it for good measure. Kirk's hooting was severed abruptly as his rope was cut and the momentum thrust him backward. A black automatic parachute released and he was launched into the air. In seconds the shock resided and cheers of joy resumed. Loki groaned and slammed her forehead onto the wheel. "The shit, Winston he's gonna blow us out here."

"You're crazy, girl. We just barely made the cut point."

"Huh I don't get an excuse?" She quirked a brow at him.

"You're not the new girl anymore."

"Heh, excuses, Winston."
