Surf Cameras rolling, Nat takes a last look at the skiff to his right before leaning back to cast a sidelong glance at the camera, showing his best profile. The straps are just tight enough, holding him fast to the skateoard and he holds his pose. "Hey, watch it, you're going too fast!" the director shouts, "You'll smear his makeup." The boat slows to a bank, making just enough of a wave to create the illusion of choppy water, but enough to camouflage the tethers fastened across the actor's instep. "That's more like it, let's do it before dark!" Nat leans to his left, as if fighting choppy seas, as the sun sets with the memories of the surfers, once fighting and besting massive waves. There's no pesonal skill any more, the surfers of old but a memory. Striving to live the ordinary life in a non-ordinary way. Kate - Writing & Reading ![]() ![]() ![]() |
