Through the Miles On dusky summer nights find loneliness of rails, in distance hearing wails of train whistles. On outskirts of a town, these steel bars run for miles as trains move down its aisles in eeriness. Alone in open space, no creatures in its sight— rails shining in moonlight as darkness falls. Groans of low, rumbling rails, sounds heard of coming trains reverberates through plains to journey’s end.
