I'm sorry to hear that your family is having some kind of crisis. You do what you need to, and don't worry about filling your spot. At this point, the only changes to the contestant pool are going to be drop outs. If you have time after you get back, the prompts will still be here, and you will be able to write to them--that's the fun part anyway.
