GUN

It has been said, in like words,
it's not the gun that kills,
but the fool pulling the trigger.

It should be said, however,
it's not the hand that holds the gun
but the mind that ceases to care.

When a life is as disposable as trash
on garbage day, then living becomes
obsolete for the mind
that wields the hand with the gun.
