I'm 28, currently in grad school and job searching. I have done NaNo four times (I think?) but only finished once, which I think was 2009, my first year doing this Prep. I mostly write young adult novels. I have also had poetry, short stories, and one picture book published.

Doing this Prep every year has definitely helped me be more prepared for writing novels. I have only "finished" a couple of novels because it is often hard for me to sustain a story for 50k+ pages, but the Prep helps me plan everything out. If it weren't for the Prep, I probably would have never finished NaNo.
